Pierre Bissonnette graduated in biology (1984), and was granted a fellowship to pursue PhD studies in physiology (1993) at Université de Montréal. Specialized in membrane transport processes, Dr Bissonnette pursued his research within the membrane transport research group to study the molecular aspects of sugar and water transport. Now senior scientist to Dr Daniel Bichet’s laboratory, focusing on genetic renal diseases, Dr Bissonnette is author to more than 20 publications in peer reviewed international journal and a regular lecturer at international scientific meetings.
